A prayer for zion 🇮🇱

What is ציון Zion?

Is it a physical place?

A spiritual place?

According to Kabbalah, יון + צ = ציון

Zion is the Tzadik (צ) in Yavan (יון). The righteous Jew in Greece; Greece being an archetype for the secular lifestyle, often perceived as unholy and fueled by corrupt intentions rooted in lust, greed, and ego.

The Tzadik comes to Yavan as an interface between angelic consciousness and human consciousness. He is  from the world of Yetzira where our souls are “like” God, to awaken these states of connection and consciousness in the secular lifestyle. He does this, not by force, rather by embodying the point of connection to Hashem/ Deveikut. Those in the Tzadik’s presence, who are open for it, can awaken deeply to their own spiritual sensitivities, to their angelic consciousness as the Tzadik’s presence works magic..

Then the voice of a religious Jew who lives in Israel, “Also, Yavan I’d like to add, that until you stop your unholy ways and devote your life to Torah and mitzvot your secular zionism is an unholy vessel that will shatter. I don’t recognize your secular zionism.”

Yavan says to the Tzadik, “Connecting to angelic consciousness, to the divine field of intelligence, the true root of our Jewish Soul feels aligned and authentic and good. We do this in our own ways already and (in this, Liat’s prayer for the future) are open to learning more from you about how to do so even more deeply. So long as you also are open to learning from us or at least having some respect and appreciation for what we bring to the table. I heard you say that you kind of need me to exist in order for you to embody your purpose. For ציון Zion to exist you need both the צ Tzadik AND יון Greece. It’s called Zionism, not Tzadikism. Tzadikism is meditating on the mountaintop (or shtetl) staying close to holy energies and disconnecting completely from Yavan. Tzadik needs Yavan to exist in order to Co-Create Zion. There can be no redemption without something to be redeemed from.”

A secular Jew living in Israel responds to the religious Jew, “You tell me Torah and Mitzvot otherwise you don’t care about my secular zionism while our brave soldiers are dying to defend the freedoms you are reaping by living on the physical land of Israel. That kind of thinking is what generated a movement of religious Jews in Brooklyn supporting and protesting with Free Palestine at the exact same time that Jewish communities in NY (and all over the world) are facing modern day pogroms at the hands of Free Palestine. Do you know that joke about the man who was stuck in a flood but believed so much that God would save him that he declined help from 3 rescue boats as he waited for God to come. The man drowns and dies. In heaven, he asks God, ‘why didn’t you save me?’ God says, ‘You idiot! I sent you 3 boats!’  What you call ‘secular zionism’ and ‘unholy container’ could also be seen with the eyes of azamra as a rescue boat amidst what is shaping up to be a worldwide chaotic storm. You know, Rabbi Nachman’s art of azamra, where we practice seeing the good in something in order to love it and bless it and invite it to fulfill its potential. Let’s forget whose zionism we are talking about and find a new third option that we (both religious and secular) can get on board with, and love, and bless with our thoughts and states of consciousness. Is it possible that secular Judaism, whatever that means, is one of the 72 kinds of Judaisms? And, is it possible, that just as much as Yavan has to learn from the Tzadik, the Tzadik has to learn from Yavan? Ok ok, maybe not just as much, but Yavan definitely has what to offer. But you know what, yes actually, yes just as much. Have some respect for the Jews that built the land in Israel, that turned swamps into life. This is also the work of a channel of Hashem, just as much as the torah is. In order for the spiritual to meet the physical, there needs to be a physical, and a respect and reverence to those who built and protect the physical..”

Yavan says, “We embody physical strength. Look at the IDF. Look at the Mossad. The Western world got most things wrong about the IDF and Mossad, but they managed to get one thing right- we are strong. Not only are we strong, but in contrast to lies the jihadis and western world perpetuate, we are one of (if not the most) moral armies on earth. We give our enemies warnings before attacking by dropping pamphlets, we give them aid. Anyways. You want to know what the punchline is going to be at the other side of this tornado of chaos and misinformation? The punchline is that Israel’s counter-terror intelligence is the most sophisticated…in…the…world…and all other countries rely on it in times of major terror threats. This is a reality, a truth, something called Emet. Emet exists whether or not I say it. Ahem. Once the Jihadis get even more active, all of Israel’s international western haters will have no choice but to come to us for help, because eventually they will have no choice but to realize that if they don’t, they put themselves at risk. That risk will be louder that the misinformation they currently waste their (and our) energy on. That after all this time it was the IDF and the Mossad that was the moral shield for the MIddle East and the Western world. You wanna kill your shield, so you gonna be suicidal. Don’t worry, habibti. Israel will protect you even though you’re confused right now. That’s how this story ends.”

Tzadik stepping closer to Yavan, integrating even more deeply on an embodied level, during these pre-messianic times. The light, the higher consciousness can be found in the darkness.

The secular Jew living in Israel says, “the right for Jews to live in their ancestral homeland at a time in history when it is quite clear nowhere else is safe for them, is the absolute purest intention. Don’t tell me secular zionism is a dirty vessel.”

The Tzadik kneels down before Yavan and says, “I know that the physical land of Israel is the first part of coming home to Zion. Thank you for defending our physical land. The world will soon understand that not only are we not the scrawny kid, anymore. The holocaust cannot happen this time because we have the land, we will fight `to keep it, it is ours. And then, for the spiritual whiplash of an excellent punchline, we’ll even save the ones who said the worst lies about us..”

Yavan kneels down before the Tzaddik, “Thank you for preserving our Torah and our heritage. Our history and our truth. Our soul roots, our connection to Hashem, the miracles that are our birthright, if only we could get over our issues with one another, and learn from the Tzadik’s channel, with openness and curiosity. And that the Tzaddik would turn towards us. Panim b’ Panim. Face to face.”

We, Am Israel and the Jewish people, need to find our way towards authentic conversations that bridge the divide between secular and religious, Israeli and diaspora, real Jews and kappos? We are living at a time in history where conflict is everywhere, among all nations and people. I believe in the purity and goodness in the root of every Jewish Soul, yes, even the kappos have good within them, they’re just confused right now. I believe in our ability to change the way we relate to one another.

I believe in taking advantage of the opportunity that comes with societal collapse and destruction…the opportunity being a blank canvas to co-create something new and to do it from a higher consciousness, closer to the root of our soul, whatever that authentically means to each person in all 72 kinds of Judaism. All the unique threads weaving together, each doing it’s part in the tapestry.. Secular and Religious. The Tzaddik in Yavan. Our Zion.

Don’t let them tell you Zionism is a dirty word. Eventually they will understand the truth you naturally embody, when you stop wasting your breath on people who are already committed to misunderstanding you. Zionism is your birthright, your home. It is a light and ultimately will save a lot more people than just Jews. The truth doesn’t need to be explained. We already explained. Now just be in the truth of what you explained and see where your amazing intellect, and vision, and authenticity, and light, and ability leads you. Living your light into Am Israel and the Jewish people comes naturally to you. You do it when you don’t even try, just by being authentically you. Only lies and misinformation need to talk a lot in order to exist.

Sometimes when we argue with haters, we inadvertently use our light to feed a dark bottomless pit. Darkness feeds on light. Now is the point in the story when we use our light to create and inspire more and more light.

In my personal mythology: either you’re further illuminating this truth and so we can connect and discuss and co-create a becoming into our light and potential. Mashiach consciousness. Geula. Or, you’re in a different reality that I’ve just moved on from. Feeding darkness with my light, just isn’t interesting to me anymore.

I can’t wait to see what happens when all Jews connect to this frequency to co-create Zion. I look forward to meeting you there.
